Hey guys! Happy first Monday of March! Winter has returned to DC, but Spring is supposedly just around the corner. Here are a few things happening this week that may help get you in the spirit.
Wine Dinners Galore
Make your March as delicious as possible by attending one (or more!) of the many wine dinners happening around town this week. First up, Ripple will host Martine Saunier of Martines wines for a paired five-course tasting menu prepared by rising-star chef Ryan Ratino tonight Monday, March 6th. Tickets are $162.50 per person, inclusive of tax and tip. On Wednesday the 8th, B Too and winemaker David Reynaud will prepare a special four-course tasting menu paired with the best of Crozes Hermitage wines. Tickets are $59, exclusive of tax and tip. Sunday the 12th brings two options. 2941 in Falls Church is hosting a special ‘Spice Companion’ dinner featuring NYC Spice Master Lior Lev Sercarz of La Boîte Biscuits & Spices. The four-course dinner costs $95 per person and comes with, exclusive of tip and tax. Wine pairings can be added for an additional $50. Each guest will receive a copy of “The Spice Companion” book signed by Lior Lev Sercarz. Last but not least, Kyirisan will host their first wine winner, also on Sunday, March 12th featuring Barnaby Tuttle of Teutonic Wines from Willamette Valley. The five-course dinner, with wine pairings, is $75 per person exclusive of tax and tip. Cheers!
Dinner Now Available at Junction Bakery
Junction Bakery & Bistro in Del Ray will begin their new dinner service tonight, Monday March 6th. Expect entrée salads, vegan/vegetarian/allergy friendly dishes along with beer and wine on the new menu. There’s a version of the quinoa bowl we loved so much at their brunch available that shouldn’t be missed.
Free Mezcal at Espita Mezcaleria
Shaw favorite Espita Mezcaleria is celebrating their one year anniversary this week by handing out free mezcal on Wednesday, March 8th. They’re also offering a special beverage menu highlighting “fan favorite” cocktails from the past year, available March 6th through 12th.
