Hey guys! Hope you all had great weekends. Mine was wonderful and filled with lots of football and live music, two of my favorite things. Now it’s onto another short week; we’re heading to Oklahoma Thursday for a family visit and more football. Here’s some cool stuff I’ll miss while we’re gone.
All of the Beer in Navy Yard
DC’s behemoth beer festival, Snallygaster, is this Saturday next to Nats Park in Navy Yard. General admission tickets are still available and the lineup of beers is insane. Cheers!
In more Navy Yard news, Truckeroo is back on Friday with a delicious lineup of trucks and treats. With the weather finally cooling off, it should be a beautiful day for it.
Football is Officially Back
My college team may have let me down in week one, but my fantasy football teams are doing well. I typically find the NFL to be pretty boring, but it’s fun if watched with friends and good food. DC Eater has a list of 20 Essential Sports Bars in the area where you can celebrate a win, or drown your sorrows if things don’t go so well.
Get Sideways at Via Umbria
Via Umbria hosts some of the coolest events in DC, but this one may take the cannoli. On Wednesday, the Italian restaurant and market presents Movie and a Meal with a viewing of the vino-centric move Sideways and meal of White Castle inspired burgers, onion rings, brownies, and of course wine. Tickets are $35.
Been There Eaten That files a mouth-watering review of All Purpose in Shaw. I must get there soon!
Summer is, sadly, almost over but there’s still time to get to the beach. Cook In Dine Out knows where you should eat on your next trip to Rehoboth Beach.
