There are so many things I will miss about Brazil: the people, the laid back lifestyle we enjoyed there, the cheap fresh fruits and juices, to name just a few. But most of all, I think I will miss the Brazilian sunsets.
Maybe it was because we were there in the winter when the sun is still brilliant and warm during the day, but begins its descent around six in the evening, when you tend to still be out and about from your day, or finishing up work and able to stare dreamily out the window.
After a day of work (rather silent and solitary work while I was in Brazil) there are few things more enjoyable than a glass of wine with a view.
On this particular night, there was also a UFO sighting.
Some of my favorite travel memories in Brazil revolve around the setting sun, cuddled up with my husband and my dog, thousands of miles away from home allowing life to be slow, still and peaceful.
