I cannot believe it’s Thanksgiving week already! It’s a bittersweet one this year, as we aren’t going to make it home as planned. But we’ll have a lot of fun stuff going on around here to keep us busy. Here are your best bets for the festive week ahead.
Waterfront Thanksgiving at Kith + Kin
Enjoy a waterfront Thanksgiving experience at newly opened Kith + Kin at The Wharf. Guests will enjoy a three-course prix fix meal with signature dishes including honeynut squash veloute, jerk turkey, honey glazed ham, curried chicken stew, and more. For something sweet, indulge in pumpkin, sweet potato and chocolate pies. A Thanksgiving feast is never complete without some creative sips, so barman Zac Hoffman will be on had to share suggestions for the perfect pairing. This special meal is priced at $89 per person, $45 for the kids menu (ages 6 to 12).
City Perch Thanksgiving Buffet
City Perch Kitchen + Bar will offer a special Turkey Dinner Buffet on Thanksgiving. The Turkey Dinner Buffet will feature acorn squash bisque with crispy bacon & kale, in addition to a classic shrimp cocktail and autumn salad to start. The main course offerings, which are a twist on the traditional Thanksgiving dinner are an herb roasted turkey, honey glazed carrots, chestnut stuffing, sweet potato shepards pie and more. The buffet will also have its own bread station with popovers, honey glazed cornbread and Parker house rolls. Dessert options will be plentiful with City Perch’s legendary silken pumpkin pie, cranberry-apple crumble, pear upside down cake, apple cider doughnuts just to name a few. The buffet costs $58 per guest and $20 per child (12 years and younger).
Let Carmine’s Do Your Thanksgiving Cooking
Carmine’s Family Style Italian Restaurant is offering a take-home Thanksgiving feast menu. The feast, priced at $249.95, serves 8 to 10 people and includes:
- An 18 lb. roasted turkey with sausage and sage stuffing served with house made cranberry sauce
- Brussels Sprouts with caramelized onions and Applewood smoked bacon
- Sautéed string beans with julienned red peppers and toasted hazelnuts
- Baby carrots with fresh dill
- Mashed potatoes with giblet gravy
- A whole holiday pie (choose one, selection must be made at the time of the order): Pumpkin, Apple, Pecan

CityCenter Tree Lighting
CityCenterDC will kick off the holiday season on Saturday the 25th from 6 to 7 p.m. The 4th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting features an exciting evening of performances from the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC and the Cardinal Shehan School Choir from Baltimore. Washingtonians will be treated to joyful holiday music and an official lighting ceremony and countdown emceed by NBC4’s Eun Yang. Families will be entertained with balloon artists, face painters, holiday activities and more. Enjoy the dazzling 75-foot holiday tree, our two resident 25-foot reindeer, and the return of our Palmer Alley overhead holiday display.
