Hi everyone! I hope everyone has been enjoying the holidays and time with family. We had a great time seeing my family in Oklahoma the past few days. We got back last night, and have a busy week ahead trying to catch up from the holiday rush and travel. Luckily, there will be quite a bit of fun thrown in amongst the chaos.
New Years Options
Tom and I aren’t big on going out for NYE. We’ll be spending the afternoon with Ryan, Jen and our niece and then watching football. But if you’re really into the holiday, here are a few roundups of ideas for how to spend your night. If you want to party, Washingtonian has you covered. Hate paying a cover? Check out this list. Bitches Who Brunch also have an exhaustive list of dinners, parties and – of course – New Year’s Day brunch options.
It’s not often we get good news from WMATA, but miracles do happen. According to DCist, wi-fi will officially be installed at all underground stations in the next two years. Now when you’re sitting on a train for an hour due to single tracking, you’ll at least be able to keep up with your Instagram feed.
Amazon’s Give Back Box®
The new year always makes me want to deep clean my entire house and get rid of unwanted clutter. Since we’re moving soon, I have even more motivation to purge. I was thrilled to learn about Amazon’s new Give Back Box® program. Whenever you order something from Amazon, they will pay for you to ship items to Goodwill in the empty box. What could be easier?
Been There Eaten That had a meal of highs and lows at newcomer Community in Bethesda.
I’m not sure how much traveling we’ll be able to do in 2017, but I’m 90% sure we’ll be taking a road trip to Oklahoma and hitting up Nashville along the way. As such, I’m eating up this post from Drive on the Left about having the ultimate weekend in Music City.
I always find the process of choosing which restaurant to order from on Uber Eats extremely overwhelming. There are so many options and they all sound good! I recently went with Mezeh Mediterranean Grill and it was delicious! The price is right and your order is completely customizable. Give it a try!
